What is the difference between TED and TEDE?

TEDE stands for Total Effective Dose Equivalent.

TED stands for Total Effective Dose. 

TEDE and TED are ICRP nomenclature for a measurement of external radiation dose combined with committed dose from internal intakes of radioactive material. They are essentially the same thing. TEDE is the older term defined in ICRP Report 30. TED is the more recent term defined in ICRP Report 60. The only significant difference between the terms is the longer commitment period used in ICRP Report 60.
